Not every part of a fortress echoes with the clash of blades. Some corners glow with firelight, hum with quiet voices, and smell faintly of woodsmoke and stew.
This humble stone hut sits snug against the castle wall — a modest shelter for guards off duty, servants between tasks, or an old veteran who’s earned a quieter post. Sometimes it’s the quarters of a gatekeeper. Sometimes a field medic’s outpost. Sometimes… something more secret.
But don’t be fooled by its simplicity. In the calm before the storm, it’s here that armor is strapped, boots are laced, and tired hands grasp spears once more.
A little peace. A lot of purpose.

Designed to nestle cleanly against castle walls, the stone hut helps bring your fortress to life. Position it near a gate, tucked in a courtyard corner, or close to a forge for maximum utility. It can also stand alone — a lonely outpost or hidden retreat beyond the main fortifications.
Don’t forget the well. Even the smallest shelters need water. And where there’s water, there’s a reason to stay a while.
