This section may lack flanking towers, portcullises, or hidden arrow slits, but don’t mistake it for weakness. Placed wisely, it becomes a strong, practical solution — especially when silver is short and stone is dear.
Use the terrain. A steep slope, a narrow pass, or even a moat can do the work of a battlement. Better yet, place this gate between two towers — and watch it turn from a soft spot into a bastion.
These were often the gates that led to pastureland, a nearby village, or a road through the hills. They were the first to open when peace returned — and the last to be trusted in war.
They’ve seen trades, treaties, and skirmishes. And with the right hands behind them, they can see off a siege just as well.

Some trimming may be needed to smooth connection points — nothing a hobby knife can’t handle.
Assemble and glue the gates from the four included parts.
Insert the gates into the archway and glue in place.
For open-top version: insert standard railings into the wall’s upper slots.
For covered version: insert roof-support railings into upper slots, then place roof on top.
A door module where walls attach to the buildings – optional but highly recommended because it looks and feels right.
Connectors – for attaching to wall or building modules.
Perfect between two square or octagonal towers, this module brings functional variety to your wall layout.
Use it as a secondary gate — one that might lead to a stable yard, outer village, or woodland road.
If you're building a larger stronghold, place this where you want patrols or foraging parties to pass.
And don’t forget: just because it’s modest doesn’t mean it should go undefended.
Fully compatible with all Castletecture wall sections and accessories.
Can stand alone or connect to other modules using standard connectors.
Scaled for 1:100 (compatible with 15–18mm miniatures and gaming figures).
